I am a licensed clinical social worker providing individual therapy to residents of Maine (LCSW), North Carolina (LCSW), Washington (LICSW), and South Carolina (LISW-CP), and Florida (LCSW https://flhealthsource.gov/telehealth/). I offer online counseling through a secure platform.
I graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo’s School of Social Work with my Master of Social Work degree in 2003. In addition to a strong clinical program in mental and behavioral health, my concentration was in alcohol and other drug use. I feel grateful to have attended a graduate school that emphasized trauma informed care.
Over the years, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings ranging from child and adolescent behavioral health case management and clinical supervision, clinical therapy in a behavioral health group home for adolescents, run a successful therapy private practice working with adolescents and adults, worked as a program manager in a women’s re-entry for ex-offenders program, and worked in integrated care programs as a therapist.
As a Board Certified Tele-mental Health provider offering online counseling to residents of Maine, North Carolina, Washington, Florida, and South Carolina, I will use a variety of therapeutic approaches including Acceptance & Commitment therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. More recently, I have a growing interest and have been learning about Internal Family Systems and Emotional Freedom Techniques.
I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
